Hi, I'm Kelly, the founder and chief professional organizer here at Chaos Management. My mission is to eliminate the chaos and clutter in my clients' lives so they can reduce
stress, restore order, and enjoy their lives. I truly believe that organizing can be a fun and liberating process, and that it can have a lasting impact on the quality of our lives.
My History
People often ask me if I've always been organized. The answer is yes. I am one of those naturally organized people. While other girls were playing house with Barbie and Ken, I was organizing her wardrobe and efficiently packing her camper with all of the essential supplies. I got my first weekly planner in the fifth grade and faithfully recorded every homework assignment and due date. I will admit to occasionally having a messy dorm room in college, but the time management skills I developed as a full-time student juggling 2 part-time jobs are invaluable. After college, I worked in business administration and accounting for several years where organization and time management were a key part of my success.
Over the years people often told me how organized I was, but I never really gave it much thought until one day I made a discovery....
My Discovery
One day while surfing the web I discovered the National Association of Professional
Organizers (NAPO). I could not believe it. Organizing was a career? I had always loved to organize so the thought of having my own business doing something I enjoyed while helping others was really exciting. After months of planning and research, Chaos Management was officially formed in January 2004.
My Style
I get excited about organizing. Not only do I like the process, but I love the reaction that my clients have. To see a look of relief or disbelief at the end of a session is fantastic. Sometimes I feel like a professional stress reliever!
While I do think it is fun to organize, I take the work seriously and realize that the thought of getting organized is overwhelming for many people. I am here to help guide you through the process. I provide simple and practical organizing solutions that are that are designed to fit your needs and your lifestyle. I believe in function not perfection. Trying to maintain perfection can be exhausting and time consuming. In many ways, it is just another way that people become slaves to their "stuff".
I offer patient, supportive instruction, and complete confidentiality. I will respect your space and your feelings. I will push when I need to, but not too far. I will be your coach and your cheerleader, and I will help you get organized once and for all.
